ESCWA and UN-Women New York Office will hold a two-day workshop in Beirut, with regional commissions for peer exchange on gender marker in connection with SWAP implementation.

The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) held on 11 and 12 April 2017 an expert group meeting at the UN House in Beirut to discuss its upcoming report entitled “Disability in the Arab Region 2017: Strengthening Social Protection for Persons with Disabilities.”

This activity falls under the Development Account (DA) project on “Establishing National Technology Development and Transfer Systems in select ESCWA member states” which aims to strengthen the capacity of select countries in the ESCWA region to create an enabling policy environment for research
