واجهة بينية بين مصدر خارجي من المعلومات وخادم الويب (World Wide Web). الواجهة البينية هي بالتالي آلية بحث عبر الإنترنت تسمح للمستخدمين بإجراء البحوث بواسطة شبكة موزعة من الفهارس العقدية.
