5 July 2017	Executive Secretary visits former Prime Minister	ESCWA Executive Secretary Mohamed Ali Alhakim paid a visit on 5 July 2017 to Lebanese former Prime Minister Tammam Salam. Alhakim was accompanied by his Deputy for Programme Support Khawla Mattar. Discussions revolved around the general situation and developments in Lebanon and the region. The officials also discussed the role of ESCWA in supporting economic and social development policies in Member States.
16 August 2017	Executive Secretary visits Director-General of General Security	United Nations Under-Secretary-General and EDCWA Executive Secretary Mohamed Ali Al-Hakim visited on 14 August 2017 the Director-General of the General Security, Major-General Abbas Ibrahim. During his visit, the Executive Secretary was accompanied by ESCWA Deputy Executive Secretary for Program Support Khawla Mattar and ESCWA Chief Security and Safety Section Said Jannoun. The two sides discussed cooperation and coordination between the General Directorate of the General Security and ESCWA.
31 August 2017	Deputy Transport Minister of Yemen Visits ESCWA, Meets Executive Secretary	ESCWA Executive Secretary Mohamed Ali Alhakim received on 29 August 2017 Deputy Minister of Transportation of Yemen Nasser Al Sherif at the UN House. The two sides discussed cooperation in the field of transportation between ESCWA and Yemen and ESCWA’s contribution to the government of Yemen in terms of technical cooperation. The ambassador of Yemen to Lebanon Abdullah Abed AlKarim AlDeis and ESCWA Regional Adviser on Transport and Logistics Yarob Badr also attended the meeting.
18 August 2017	Executive Secretary visits Director-General of ISF	United Nations Under-Secretary-General and ESCWA Executive Secretary Mohamed Ali Al-Hakim visited on 17 August 2017 the Director-General of the Internal Security Forces (ISF), Major-General Imad Osman. During his visit, the Executive Secretary was accompanied by ESCWA Deputy Executive Secretary for Program Support Khawla Mattar and ESCWA Chief Security and Safety Section Said Jannoun. The two sides discussed cooperation between ESCWA and the Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces.
11 December 2014	UN Assistant Secretary-General Visits Beirut	Ms. Mervat Tallawy, United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of UNESCWA, today met with Ms. Jan Beagle, United Nations Assistant Secretary-General for Human Resources Management. Ms. Beagle is on an official visit to Lebanon (5-8 June 2006).
21 August 2017	Executive Secretary Visits Former Prime Minister	Beirut, 21 August 2017 (Communication and Information Unit) -- United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of ESCWA Mohamed Ali Al-Hakim today visited former Prime Minister Najib Mikati in his Beirut office. Both sides discussed priority issues in the Arab region, namely the reconstruction of Syria and ESCWA activities in this regard. Hakim had visited on 18 August 2017 Minister of Economy and Trade, Raed Khoury, accompanied by ESCWA Chief of Modeling and Forecasting Section Mohamed Hedi Bchir.
16 November 2017	Executive Secretary Visits Lebanese House Speaker	Beirut, 14 November 2017 (Communication and Information Unit) -- United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of ESCWA Mohamed Ali Al-Hakim today visited Lebanese House Speaker, Nabih Berri. Both sides discussed the current activities undertaken by ESCWA. The two sides also discussed the current situation in Lebanon and the region.

16 November 2017	Executive Secretary Visits Former PM Fouad Siniora	Beirut, 14 November 2017 (Communication and Information Unit) -- United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of ESCWA Mohamed Ali Al-Hakim today visited former Prime Minister Fouad Siniora. Both sides discussed the ESCWA current and upcoming activities. It was also an occasion for both sides to discuss the current situation in Lebanon and the region.
