21 April 2021	Series of Webinars on selected SDG Indicators for the Arab Region: ESCWA-UNFPA SDG5.6.1 and SDG5.6.2	The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (UN ESCWA ), in collaboration with UN Agencies, custodians of SDG indicators, is organizing a series of webinars on selected SDG indicators that are less produced in the Arab region to create a common understanding among data producers on how to collect, measure and disseminate SDG indicators to increase data production and enhance national data flow to policy makers, other users and custodian agencies. The main objectives of the regional training are:
5 December 2014	RICCAR Vulnerability Assessment Task Force on Adaptive Capacity Indicators Meeting	Within the framework of the RICCAR, ESCWA and ACSAD organized the RICCAR/ACCWaM Vulnerability Assessment Task Force on Adaptive Capacity Indicators Meeting from 22-23 October 2014 in Beirut at the UN House. This Task Force is basically a small ad hoc working group that was established to technically review, with regional experts, the adaptive capacity indicators associated with socio-economic aspects of that component and the related maps that will support the preparation of the vulnerability assessment at the Arab regional level.
25 January 2021	Statistical Committee, 14th session	The 14th session of the Statistical Committee will be held online over two days, on 10 and 11 February 2021. At its 14^th session, the Statistical Committee will follow up on progress in statistical activities in member States and the ESCWA secretariat since its previous session, which was held in Beirut in January 2019. It will also discuss monitoring challenges related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), regional priorities for the coming years in the field of statistics and an ESCWA guide for a general law on official statistics for Arab States.

9 October 2018	Workshop on Islamic Finance in the National Accounts	The workshop continues the work of the Task Force on Islamic Finance established by Intersecretariat Working Group on National Accounts mandated from the UNSC.
26 April 2021	Virtual workshop on empowering youth and enhancing their participation in public affairs in Sudan	ESCWA’s virtual workshop on empowering youth and enhancing their participation in public affairs in Sudan aims at enabling and enhancing the active and sustainable participation of youth in the process of developing, implementing and evaluating their own policies and plans that contribute to their aspirations. The workshop contributed to meeting a number of objectives related to the toolkit including:
3 April 2020	Regional Meeting for Revision of 2011-2017 Expenditure Data	In order to ensure the accuracy of National Accounts expenditure data and hence reliability of the International Comparison Program (ICP) results, ESCWA conducted a regional meeting for the validation of 2011 to 2017 National Accounts expenditure data and treatment of outliers.
