Arab Consultative Meeting on an Accountability Framework for the Post-2015 Development Agenda |
The Post-2015 Development Agenda will include four building blocks, including “a participatory monitoring framework for tracking progress and mutual accountability mechanisms for all stakeholders”. In preparation, the UN Secretary General requested Regional Commissions to hold regional consultations on the subject. |

The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) is currently leading efforts to strengthen national capacities in the Arab region on developing green production sectors. Since 2012 ESCWA established a network of Green Help Desks to increase awareness on the beneficial role of green technologies in six member countries: Lebanon, Jordan, Oman, Egypt, Tunisia, and Morocco. These Helpdesks aim at supporting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) interested in acquiring and/or utilizing green processes. |
