On 31 May and 1 June 2016, Amman hosted “The 3rd International Workshop on Applications of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in Education, Healthcare and Agriculture”, which was held at the Royal Scientific Society (RSS), the largest applied research institution Jordan.

On the occasion of the 2016 World Day to Combat Desertification, regional and international experts gathered on 20 June in a web conference organized by ESCWA to highlight the importance of striving towards Land Degradation Neutrality through the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goa

On 28 June 2016, ESCWA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in transport and trade-related issues in the Arab region with the International Road Union (IRU).
 



In collaboration with the Ministry of Investment in the Republic of Tunisia ESCWA held a National Workshop on negotiations of bilateral investment agreements during the period 1-5 April 2013.
