5 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2014	Meeting on the Framework for Management Development in Iraq	As part of the "Capacity Building of the Iraqi Public Sector Management" project, implemented in partnership with UNDP Iraq, ESCWA will hold a Meeting on the Framework for Management Development in Iraq on 21-23 March 2009 in Beirut, Lebanon. It is expected that the meeting will build upon the conclusions and outcomes of the Stakeholders Meeting scheduled on 15 March 2009 in Baghdad, Iraq, which involves the active participation of major public sector stakeholders concerned by public sector development, and aims to identify the needs and priorities of the public sector.

5 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2014	Brainstorming session on rehabilitating the Iraqi construction sector	With the participation of 18 contributors from Lebanon, Iraq and the region, the objective of the session was to formulate a strategy to enhance the active involvement of the domestic construction industry of Iraq in the reconstruction and maintenance of Iraq''s physical make-up. Based on the deliberations, a project proposal for UNDG was prepared by UNESCWA that combined both theoretical views with realistic aspects presented by the Iraqi participating experts.
5 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2014	EGM on Development Under Crisis Conditions	The Expert Group Meeting on “Development Under Crisis Conditions” (Beirut, 27-28 June 2006) aimed at reaching a common understanding of the impact of conflict on socio-economic and political development in the region. It also sought to identify means of assisting member states in pursuing their Millennium Development Goals despite instability and political volatility. The meeting examined comparative experiences with development implementation under crisis conditions in three locales: Iraq, the Palestinian Territories, and Lebanon.
