With the participation of 18 contributors from Lebanon, Iraq and the region, the objective of the session was to formulate a strategy to enhance the active involvement of the domestic construction industry of Iraq in the reconstruction and maintenance of Iraq''s physical make-up. Based on the deliberations, a project proposal for UNDG was prepared by UNESCWA that combined both theoretical views with realistic aspects presented by the Iraqi participating experts.
