Renowned Lebanese singer Majida El-Roumy, a celebrity most famous for her distinguished contribution to the arts and humanitarian affairs, will visit tomorrow ESCWA Headquarters, Riad el Solh Square.

Upon her arrival at 10:45 AM, El-Roumy heads to the Office of the Executive Secretary for an audience with UN Under-Secretary-General and ESCWA Executive Secretary Rima Khalaf. After the official welcome, she will be invited to a tour that includes a stop at the library and a detailed presentation on ESCWA’s work and programs, with special emphasis on the Commission’s role in youth poverty alleviation in Lebanon and the region. Prior to her departure from ESCWA premises, Ms. El-Roumy will deliver a statement to the staff of the UN Regional Commission and Arab Youth.
