التعريف:
هي الشغل المبذول لتحريك شحنة كهربائية في موصل وهذا الشغل يساوي الطاقة الكهربائية المستنفذة في الموصل. ووحدة قياس الطاقة الكهربائية المستنفذة هي الكيلوواط ساعة. الطاقة الكهربائية المستهلكة = القدرة (كيلوواط) × الزمن (ساعة).
