ILAC is the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation for both laboratory and inspection accreditation bodies formed more than 30 years ago to help remove technical barriers to trade. In 1996, ILAC became a formal cooperation with a charter to establish a network of mutual recognition agreements among accreditation bodies.
