Thirteen senior civil servants from the Iraqi Ministries of Construction and Housing, Municipalities and Public Works, and Amanat Baghdad have completed a two-week training on management and strategic planning. The training workshop forms a component of the UNDG Iraq Trust Fund funded UN HABITAT project “Strengthening the Capacity of the Housing Sector in Iraq”. The training was structured around a strategic planning exercise covering a set of management topics. In addition to the in-class training, the workshop included field visits to The Lebanese Council for Development and Reconstruction, the Municipalities of Tripoli and Jbeil, and the Office of the Prime Minister for Administrative Reform (OMSAR)
