In the Economic Commission for Europe and the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean. In 1995, this Division merged with the Natural Resources and Energy Division to create the Environment and Development Division. In 1999, the Division was again divided into two: the Environment and Human Settlements Division and the Natural Resources and Infrastructure Division. In 2002, the Division's name was changed to Sustainable Development and Human Settlements Division.
