Established in 1976 by a group of pioneering women, the Business and Professional Women Association – Amman (BPWA) is a non-profit dedicated to opening pathways and creating platforms for women in business to move beyond barriers and utilize their unique energies, talents, and capabilities to make a difference. The Association is an affiliate of the Geneva-based International Federation of Business and Professional Women (BPW International), one of the most prominent international networks with affiliates in 95 countries in five continents. The Federation also has consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), as well as participatory status with the Council of Europe.
