Promoting good health through the life-course cuts across all areas of WHO’s work including the health of women before, during and after pregnancy; and the health of newborns, children, adolescents, and older people. WHO’s work through the life-course takes into account the need to address environmental risks and social determinants of health as well as gender,equity, and human rights.
