International Mother Earth Day |
On 22 April of every year the world marks the International Mother Earth Day. This year’s theme is “Trees for the Earth”. Earth Day aims to refocus the world’s attention on the need to protect the environment in order to keep it healthy for current and future generations. This year’s Earth Day coincides with the signing ceremony of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, which came on the heels of last year’s agreement on the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda with its high focus on protecting the environment and the earth as well. |
