Given the importance of forming consensus, there is a strong need to create and build the capacity of those within a community to forge their own development strategies and to have an active debate regarding the central tenets.

9 June 2021	Launching the National Strategy for Older Persons in Lebanon 2020-2030	The National Strategy for Older Persons in Lebanon (2020-2030) is the primary response to the needs and priorities of older persons in Lebanon, and a tool to ensure collaboration among all stakeholders to protect the rights of older persons. The strategy development was led by the Ministry of Social Affairs, with support from the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Center for Studies on Aging in Lebanon (CSA).
11 December 2014	Jordanian Minister of Information and Communication Technology to Open an UN-ESCWA Workshop Next Monday	Jordanian Minister of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Basem Rousan will open the UN-ESCWA Workshop on “Establishing Public Private Partnerships (PPP) for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Initiatives” hosted by the Ministry of ICT (MoICT) in Amman from 26 February to 1 March 2007. The workshop, which will open at exactly 09:30 am next Monday, will be organized in cooperation with the Jordanian MoICT, the Global Knowledge Partnership (GKP), and the Institute of Public Private Partnership (IP3).
