20 May 2015	Population and Development Report, Issue No.4. Youth in the ESCWA Region: Situation Analysis and Implications for Development Policies	The youth group in the ESCWA region faces numerous challenges, including poor quality of education, incompatibility of education system outputs with the labour market, high unemployment rates, unhealthy life styles and low participation in decision-making and public and political life. In that regard, ESCWA focuses its activities on the need to address youth as a socio-demographic group that should be targeted with special national policies. As part of those activities, ESCWA publishes the fourth issue of the Population and Development Report which contains three parts.
20 May 2015	National Accounts Studies of the ESCWA Region, No. 31	Issue 31 of the National Accounts Studies of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) region includes available data and ESCWA estimates of GDP at current and constant prices, in addition to the consolidated national accounts for each ESCWA member country during the period 2006-2010, and the estimated real GDP growth for 2011. Data were compiled from national statistical sources and the responses to questionnaires prepared by ESCWA. This publication is intended for economists, social researchers and planners.
1 July 2018	2017 Situation Report on International Migration: Migration in the Arab Region and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development	This report describes migration patterns and developments in migration governance in the Arab region as well as the links between migration and SDGs.
29 June 2020	Capacity-Building Workshop on “Good Agriculture Practices for Enhanced Energy Sustainability”	Within the framework of the “Regional Initiative for Promoting Small-Scale Renewable Energy Applications in Rural Areas of the Arab Region (REGEND)” Project, the UN Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), in partnership with the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD), and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Jordan (MEMR) is organizing a capacity-building workshop on “Good Agriculture Practices for Enhanced Energy Sustainability”. This workshop will build the scientific and technical capacities of REGEND’s beneficiaries, on good agriculture practices through a simplified scientific and distinctive approach integrating lectures, exercises, and practical training in the field.

11 December 2014	Survey of Economic and Social Developments in the Arab Region 2012-2013	Every year, the partners of ESCWA from governmental and non-governmental organizations, media, educational and scientific foundations await the launch of the “Survey of Economic and Social Developments in the Arab Region”. It is a report intended to assess the Arab economies in the global context of economic events that took place recently and also to address pressing policy agenda in the region by a theme-based in-depth research.
2 October 2015	Regional Workshop on Innovative Technologies for Waste Management in the Arab Region-Paving the Way for the Transition to Green Economy	The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) is currently leading efforts to strengthen national capacities in the Arab region on developing green production sectors. Since 2012 ESCWA established a network of Green Help Desks to increase awareness on the beneficial role of green technologies in six member countries: Lebanon, Jordan, Oman, Egypt, Tunisia, and Morocco. These Helpdesks aim at supporting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) interested in acquiring and/or utilizing green processes.
25 July 2019	ESCWA discusses competencies of senior servants from the Agenda 2030 perspective	Beirut-Cairo, 23 July 2019 (ESCWA)--On 15-17 July, ESCWA held in Cairo, Egypt, a regional workshop to discuss and approve “The Common Arab Regional Job Competencies Framework for Senior Public Servants from the Perspective of the Agenda 2030 and Public Policy”. Participants included senior civil servants from public institutions in 10 Arab countries mandated to lead administrative reform and support their countries national development.

11 December 2014	The 'Inventory of Shared Water Resources in Western Asia' Launched in Stockholm	ESCWA and the German Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR) launched the Inventory of Shared Water Resources in Western Asia on 3 september at the World Water Week in Stockholm. This publication is the first effort led by the United Nations to comprehensively identify and assess the state of transboundary surface and groundwater resources in the Middle East, and was prepared in close consultation with ESCWA member countries as well as regional and international experts.
