Capacity building toolkit on the analysis and measurement of a socio-economic inequalities in the Arab region |
The toolkit offers the concepts, tools, and practical models needed for measuring inequality. It also explains how the requisite indicators, data and classifications can be employed for measuring inequality in the areas of income, health, education, work, and social protection to reduce the social and economic impacts of inequality in the Arab countries. |

Toolkit on the design and implementation of equality-oriented policies in the Arab countries |
This toolkit provides a set of practical modules, skills, and tools necessary for formulating and implementing public policies and programmes based on equality. The toolkit also reviews the process of mainstreaming equality into policies and programmes and the conditions for their success. In addition, it examines the importance, requirements and principles of a participatory based approach to policymaking and provides practical examples on how to mainstream equality in the policy evaluation process and during the reform of current social and economic policies. The toolkit also showcases a set of global experiences that have succeeded in mainstreaming equality within their socio-economic policies. |

This document entitled “Proposed Arab Digital Agenda: Preliminary Framework for the Arab ICT Strategy for Sustainable Development” presents ESCWA's proposal for a set of ICT objectives and targets to promote digital development and hence support the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals in the Arab region. It presents an overview of existing similar regional digital agendas in the world and proposes an agenda revolving around five pillars, that meets the needs of the Arab region. If implemented, the proposed actions could accelerate the attainment of the associated relevant developmental goals. |
