UNFPA and ESCWA Statistics Division are inviting a gender statistician from the National Statistical Office, and a gender expert from a government agency/ministry in charge of women's issues to participate in the TRAINING ON GENDER ANALYSIS OF CENSUS DATA, AMMAN, 10-12 February 2013. The Workshop will be held at the Amman Marriott Hotel in Jordan. The morning sessions will start at 08:30 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. in Al WAHA BALLROOM. Presentation of Bilateral Investment Treaties to UAE Investors |
In collaboration with the Ministry of Economy of the United Arab Emirates ESCWA held a National Workshop to present the bilateral investment agreements to the UAE investor during the period 19-20 February 2013. The purpose of this workshop was to present the bilateral investment agreements to the UAE investors, and understand the basic items that are included in the agreements. The workshop also aimed to understand the legal and regulatory framework that is essential in the arbitration process and the mechanisms in place to resolve investment disputes. |
