In collaboration with the Ministry of Economy of the United Arab Emirates ESCWA held a National Workshop to present the bilateral investment agreements to the UAE investor during the period 19-20 February 2013. The purpose of this workshop was to present the bilateral investment agreements to the UAE investors, and understand the basic items that are included in the agreements. The workshop also aimed to understand the legal and regulatory framework that is essential in the arbitration process and the mechanisms in place to resolve investment disputes.
