31 March 2016	Committee on Energy	The Committee on Energy was established pursuant to Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) resolution 204 (XVIII) of 25 May 1995, which was endorsed by Economic and Social Council resolution 1995/25 of 24 July 1995. The Committee on Energy comprises official representatives of ESCWA member States specialized in the field of energy.
31 March 2016	Cyber Legislation	During the last years, ESCWA focused on promoting cybersafety and combating cybercrime. In this context the Commission published a report that included a policy framework to enhance cybersecurity and build confidence in cyberspace. ESCWA also organized capacity building workshops and advisory services to its member countries on this topic.

22 April 2016	Arab Catalogue for Gender Statistics	The catalogue is a compilation of gender statistics related activities and outputs implemented by the Arab countries and the Statistics Division at the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA). The catalogue aims to promote good practices in compiling and disseminating gender statistics. It also gives incentives to countries to exert further effort towards improving gender statistics at the national level.
