The Arab region is one of the world's most arid regions. They are subject to significant changes in rainfall rates from year to year, which is clearly reflected in the scarcity of water resources. Scientific research confirmed that the whole region will be exposed to severe climate changes, either from low rainfall or from high temperatures and a clear increase in the frequency of cycles of drought. These factors adversely affect agricultural productivity for rainfed and, to some extent, irrigated crops. |

Regional cooperation and energy security in the Arab region |
In the midst of the social, economic and environmental concerns, and the international community's efforts with all its components and organizations to achieve sustainable development, energy security in all its aspects, concepts, objectives and requirements, has become the focus of the regional efforts. In this context, this study is designed to examine the issue of energy security from different angles to reflect the views of the consumer, the producer and the international community. Ensuring consumer access to energy services safely, economically, socially and environmentally requires efficient management of natural resources and the use of their financial revenues in the sustainable development process to ensure the continued extraction and sustainable use of these resources. |
