In the midst of the social, economic and environmental concerns, and the international community's efforts with all its components and organizations to achieve sustainable development, energy security in all its aspects, concepts, objectives and requirements, has become the focus of the regional efforts. In this context, this study is designed to examine the issue of energy security from different angles to reflect the views of the consumer, the producer and the international community. Ensuring consumer access to energy services safely, economically, socially and environmentally requires efficient management of natural resources and the use of their financial revenues in the sustainable development process to ensure the continued extraction and sustainable use of these resources.
 
The study also examines the various sources of energy, fossil fuels, renewable energy and nuclear energy stored in uranium, their availability and the quantities of their economically recoverable reserves in the Arab countries, with an emphasis on the infrastructure of oil, gas and electricity, and on the energy management policies. The study also discusses the financial, economic and social aspects associated with the fluctuations in international oil prices and their negative and positive effects on energy security. The study finally suggests a set of joint Arab regional actions to achieve energy security in the context of the sustainable development process.
