11 December 2014	Arab Integration: A 21st Century Development Imperative	“Arab Integration: A 21st Century Development Imperative” is the name of the flagship report produced by ESCWA in preparation for the upcoming Arab Economic Forum set to be held in Tunisia early next year. To launch the report, the Carnegie Middle East Centre is organizing a panel at 9:30 AM tomorrow Tuesday, at the Pheonicia Intercontinental Hotel, Beirut. The panel, which will gather leading thinkers from the Arab region, will be opened by former Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora and ESCWA Executive Secretary Rima Khalaf.
11 December 2014	ETC Third Technical Committee Meeting	The intervention of His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal, the president of Higher Council for Science and Technology and the leadership of Her Royal Highness Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, the president of the Royal Scientific Society and President of the Board of Governors of the Amman-based ESCWA Technology Centre (ETC), marked the Centre's 3rd Technical Committee Meeting, which was held on 2-3 June 2014 at the Society's headquarters.
26 May 2017	Ambassador of Egypt Visits ESCWA, Meets Executive Secretary	UN Under-Secretary-General and ESCWA Executive Secretary Mohamed Ali Alhakim received the Ambassador of Egypt to Lebanon Nazih El Naggary, on 26 May 2017 at the UN House, Beirut. Following the meeting, Ambassador El Naggary told the ESCWA Communication and Information Unit (ECIU): “it was a courtesy call, and an occasion to congratulate the Executive Secretary on his assignment as head of ESCWA.”
11 December 2014	Star Academy 2006 at UNESCWA	UNESCWA Executive Secretary Mervat Tallawy said the Arab youth are facing tremendous political, security, economic and social challenges that are driving them abroad in search for a better future. Tallawy was speaking to the contestants of Star Academy 2006 who visited the UN House ahead of a music concert they will be holding at 8:00pm Tuesday at the UNESCO Palace, Beirut, as part of the cultural events organized on the sidelines of the UNESCWA 24th Ministerial Session in Beirut from 8 to 11 May 2006.
26 June 2019	ESCWA Committee on Water convenes 13th Session	Beirut, Lebanon, 27-28 June 2019 What: The Committee on Water Resources of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) is convening its 13th session. Participants will include representatives of member States, international and regional organizations and institutions, and relevant civil society organizations.

26 February 2015	World Economic Situation and Prospects 2015	On 19 January 2015, a press conference was held by ESCWA to launch the World Economic Situation and Prospects 2015 (WESP) report from the UN House in Beirut. WESP is produced at the beginning of each year by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN/DESA), the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the five UN regional commissions, ESCWA included, and the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
25 November 2017	ESCWA Hosts Three Major Meetings Next Week With the Presence of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan and Lebanese Minister Inaya Ezzeddine	Beirut, 24 November (Communication and Information Unit)--Three major meetings will be held next week in ESCWA headquarters in Riyad al-Solh square in Beirut: Monday 27 November, at 9:00am: Lebanese Minister of State for Administrative Reform Dr. Inaya Ezzeddine will open the Regional Forum on “National Knowledge and Technology Development and Transfer Systems.”
