National Training Workshop on: The Role of Private- Public Partnership in the Implementation of Renewable Energy Projects in Rural Areas |
ESCWA has since 2011 been coordinating with ESCAP and the other UN-Regional Commissions in the implementation of an ESCAP lead project on “Enhancing energy security and improving access to energy services through development of public-private renewable energy partnerships”. Within this project’s context, a national team was established in Jordan, and was charged with collecting data on and identifying Renewable Energy (RE) PPPs case studies in poor and/or rural areas of Jordan. |

The Technical Secretariat of the Joint Arab Ministerial Council for Water and Agriculture (the Technical Secretariat AMWC and AOAD) organized in cooperation with FAO and ESCWA the second high-level joint committee for water and agriculture on October 19, 2020.
