19 March 2019	Consultative Workshop: National Review on the Implementation of Beijing +25	ESCWA is organizing a two-day national consultations workshop, on 25 and 26 March 2019 in Nouakchott - Mauritania, in cooperation with the Mauritanian Ministry of Social Affairs, Childhood and Family Affairs, to train and support 40 participants, representatives of the relevant authorities, to prepare the national review on the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action after 25 years.

25 March 2019	Near East and North Africa Land and Water Days 2019	The NENA LWD is organized by FAO-RNE and will focus on reviewing the progress made in addressing water scarcity in the region, fostering exchange of knowledge and experience among countries and partners and charting the way forward taking into account the lessons learned, the new challenges to and opportunities for sustainable development. The LWDs will consist of two segments: The technical and high level expert meeting from 31 March-3 April and the Ministerial Meeting on 4 April led by the League of Arab States.
29 September 2017	Regional capacity building workshop on “Water - Energy Nexus Operational Toolkit: Technology Transfer”	The workshop on “Water – Energy Nexus: Technology Transfer” targets to strengthen the capacity of ESCWA’ member countries (MCs) in terms of enhancing their ability to achieve an integrated and sustainable management of water and energy resources thereby contributing to realize sustainable development goals 2030 at national level. It will assist in improving the technical capacity of government officials who manage or oversee the provision of water or energy services in ESCWA’ MCs through availing comprehensive data on the technological options that could be undertaken to adopt suitable decisions to achieve water-energy nexus approach into their operations, activities and projects.
21 June 2016	Promotion of Electronic Exchange of Customs Information and the Adoption of Standard Electronic Messages	The purpose of the seminar was to promote the electronic exchange of transit information between customs administrations and the adoption of standards for electronic messages.
1 July 2016	Innovation in the Public Sector	The workshop focused on innovation as a capacity that makes it possible for the public sector to deliver better services tailored to the needs of citizens thus advancing the development of knowledge societies.
