The expert group meeting aimed to present the findings of the revised Arab Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) and the different sensitivity analysis scenarios in an attempt to enhance inter-country and temporal comparisons and provide more accurate poverty assessment and monitoring in the region.

The EGM on methodologies for meeting the water-related Sustainable Development Goals at the global, regional and national levels is organized as a folow up to the to the series of consultations conducted under the MDG+ Initiative in 2016.

The workshop was conducted in partnership with the local think tank, the Lebanese Centre for Policy Studies (LCPS). The Workshop was an attempt to generate a concerted effort to tackle the developments in Iraq and to examine feasible ideas that could improve Iraqi socio-economic conditions. The Workshop concluded its proceedings with a number of recommendations addressing both socio-economic and legal aspects of the situation in post-war Iraq. The workshop was attended by 80 participants of various nationalities.

The objective of this regional workshop is to focus on providing knowledge on RE investment projects, which covers the technical aspects related to RE investment proposals, as well as the regulatory and policy requirements, that RE project developers and relevant country officials would need to deal with when attracting and implementing investments based on foreign or national capitals. This workshop is organized in the framework of the Ministerial Conference and 8th International Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development.
