5 December 2014	Expert Group Meeting on the Impact of the Crisis in Syria on MDGs and Launch of the "Cost of conflict in Syria: The impact on the economy and MDG goals"	The report was prepared jointly by ESCWA staff and experts working on UN-ESCWA’s National Agenda for the Future of Syria Programme. The event will commence with a presentation of the report, which is divided into the following three sections: - The economic impact of the conflict in Syria; - The impact on the Millennium Development Goals in Syria; - Future expectations under the continued conflict The presentation will be followed by a discussion by a group of economists and development experts. 25 July 2019	Advanced Workshop on Deploying Institutional Gaps Assessment Methodology in Yemen: Training of Trainers	The workshop is a training of trainers for senior Yemeni civil servants working in human resources management and planning. The workshop will provide training on the application of the institutional gaps assessment methodology within Yemeni ministries and departments that will be supporting the recovery and reconstruction process. The workshop will also train participants on the transfer of the acquired techniques and gaps assessment methodology on to their national counterparts, where needed. Furthermore, the workshop will analyze the institutional gaps assessment report on the Capacity Development Program, which will be presented to the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation. The report is a stepping stone for the formulation of an institutional gaps assessment strategy.
20 October 2017	Workshop on Sound Institutional Environment, Cooperation, Dialogue and Partnerships for the Production and Utilization of SDG Indicators	The workshop will address the institutional environment for official statistics in support of monitoring progress towards the SDGs, including governance, leadership, coordination mechanisms and tools as well as dialogue and partnership between producers and users of data and statistics.

15 March 2016	Stakeholders Coordination Meeting on the sub regional project "Participatory Human Development in Post-Conflict Countries"	The stakeholder analysis produced a strategic view of relevant stakeholders in the selected post-conflict countries, including line ministries, local authorities and civil society organizations, and identified all primary and secondary stakeholders who have a vested interest in the issues in which the project is concerned.

13 February 2020	Egypt second national training workshop to improve use of gender statistics	The national training workshop aims to improve technical capabilities in using gender statistics to monitor SDG gender indicators and in disseminating, communicating and using statistics and indicators. The workshop will cover topics such as: integrating a gender perspective into official statistics; presenting, disseminating and communicating gender statistics; and improving gender statistics literacy among data users.
