7 December 2018	Mainstreaming Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into Agriculture Strategy and Food Security Priorities in Jordan	Mainstreaming SDGs into national policies requires designing institutional based and process oriented frameworks that help stakeholders to define gaps and prioritize actions to achieve positive change right across the 2030 Agenda. Agriculture and food sectors are main contributors to several SDGs with numerous targets. Sustainable agriculture and nutritious food drive economic growth and healthy life mainly in rural areas, protect natural assets, and offer inclusive livelihoods for vulnerable communities.
5 December 2014	Management Training for the Iraqi Ministry of Municipalities and Public Works	The management training module is targeting a group of experts from the Iraqi Ministry of Municipalities and Public Works (MoMPW). The Training forms a component of the UNDG Iraq Trust Fund financing a UNDP project to build the capacity of the Iraqi MoMPW. The training modules focus on management issues highlighting specialized topics relevant to each group of participants. The program of the modules also included field visits to various Lebanese private and public sector institutions to expose the Iraqi participants to the expertise and work methods of relevant Lebanese counterparts.

4 December 2017	Regional Workshop on Labour Market Policy : Informality in the ESCWA Region	The Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) conducted a regional workshop on labour market policy with a specific focus on informality and skills development, on 23 March 2011 at the United Nations House in Beirut, Lebanon.

The transformation has entailed numerous and multifaceted repercussions, cognitive as well as behavioral, whick demand skills preparation, governance adoption and policies enactment.
5 December 2014	Workshop on Voluntary Sustainability Standards (VSS) to promote sustainable agricultural production, food quality and safety, environmental protection and trade in the Arab Region	The workshop is organized by ESCWA and GIZ, under the Patronage of His Excellency, Dr. Hussein Al Hajj Hassan, Minister of Agriculture of Lebanon. The objectives of the workshop are to: • Review the concept of Voluntary Sustainability Standard (VSS) and its potential contribution to enhancing market share and market access for products and commodities from the region; and
5 December 2014	Regional workshop on industrial statistics for the Arab countries	The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (UN-ESCWA) and the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD) in New York in collaboration with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC), and the Arab Industrial Development and Minerals Organization (AIDMO) are organizing a regional workshop on "Industrial Statistics for the Arab Countries".

4 December 2017	Labour Markets and Labour Market Policy in the ESCWA Region	The Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) conducted an expert group meeting on labour markets and labour market policy on 22 March 2011 at the United Nations House in Beirut, Lebanon. In response to the challenges that ESCWA member countries face in providing adequate employment to a growing population in limited-capacity labour markets, the forthcoming Fourth Report on Integrated Social Policy will be dedicated to the topic of labour markets and labour market policy.
19 June 2020	E-Celebration DESERTIFICATION AND DROUGHT DAY 2020	In celebration of the 2020 Desertification and Drought Day, ESCWA and FAO are joining forces in raising awareness on this issue through an e celebration to discuss with experts on issues of land degradation, water scarcity and production and consumption patterns. The celebration will highlight innovative ways to address the challenges facing the region and promote further actions aimed at sustaining our lands.
