بطاقة من البلاستيك تحوي بيانات مهمّة عن هوية شخص ما لتتيح نفاذه إلى شبكة أو موقع. كذلك، قد تكون بطاقة تتضمّن معلومات عن المشترك، يتمّ إدخالها غالباً إلى هواتف تعمل بحسب نظام GSM العالمي للاتصالات النقالة للتجوال في بلدان مختلفة.
