A probability sample is a sample selected by a method based on the theory of probability (random process), that is, by a method involving knowledge of the likelihood of any unit being selected.

يتم سحبها على أساس قانون الاحتمالات حيث يتم سحب مفرداتها بشكل متتالي وباحتمال معروف ، ومن أنواعها العينة العشوائية البسيطة Randan Sample والعينة الطبقية Slratified Sample والعينة المنتظمة Systematic Sample والعينة العنقودية Cluster Sample .
