| Foreign Affiliates Trade in Services (FATS) | Foreign Affiliates Trade in Services (FATS) statistics measure the commercial presence abroad of service suppliers through affiliates in foreign markets, and therefore are closely related to statistics on foreign direct investment. Data on the activities of majority-owned foreign affiliates in the compiling economy are usually referred to as inward FATS, and those relating to majority-owned foreign affiliates of the compiling economy that are established abroad are referred to as outward FATS. | Uruguay Round | The Uruguay Round is the eighth round of multilateral trade negotiations conducted within the framework of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT).
