This report focuses primarily on the performance of ESCWA member countries in attracting foreign direct investment. It reviews recent developments in the institutional framework governing the activities of FDI enterprises, includes a brief study on the impact of FDI inflows on welfare in ESCWA member countries, and aims to provide readers in general and policymakers in particular with an overview of the latest FDI activities in the region.
