The national workshop on open government and open data for Jordan focused on building the capacities of participants, based on the ESCWA framework and in the national context of Jordan.
 
The workshop was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology and the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation in Jordan. Participants included representatives from various ministries and other public entities, as well as non-governmental organizations.
 
It included sessions on the ESCWA framework for open government, the plan of action of open government in Jordan, and building strategies on participation. It also included sessions on concepts and principals of open data, the Jordanian open data strategy and technical aspect of open data.
