The meeting will follow up on the recommendations of the Third meeting of the taskforce.  Issues for discussion and deliberation will include:

- Status of the translation of the Population & Principles of Population and Housing Censuses, revision 2
- Micro Data dissemination and tabulation
- Outsourcing in censuses

The meeting will also consider the experiences of Egypt & Jordan in planning their last censuses, and address the methodology of US Bureau in conducting Community Surveys.

The meeting will bring together the chairpersons of the working groups and concerned members of the taskforce. Selected experts from the region and the US Census Bureau will also be invited.

The meeting will be held at Ramses Hilton Cairo, Egypt from 5 to 6 September 07. The opening ceremony will be held in Horus Room at Ramses Hilton at 9.30. Sessions will start daily at 9.00 and will end at 14.30.

ESCWA will cover the participation of one representative from non-GCC countries only. Participants are requested to send copies of their passport to Ms. Nadine Shaar at shaar@un.org or fax +961-1-981510 in order to finalize the administrative arrangements concerning their travel. Other participants are expected to attend at their own expenses.

Accommodation is offered to participants at Ramses Hilton at the rate of $105 for single room and $120 for double room on B&B basis and inclusive of all taxes. Participants wishing to stay at the hotel, are kindly asked to send their request to shaar@un.org

The working language is Arabic. Interpretation services from Arabic to English and vise versa will be available.
