The Jordanian capital, Amman, hosts the 11th Session of the Statistical Committee of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) on 4 and 5 February 2015 at the Kempinski Hotel. The Session is entitled “The Data Revolution for Support and Monitoring of the Post-2015 Development Agenda”.

The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) will sign a memorandum of understanding with the the Centre for Strategic Studies at Jordan University at 10:00 AM on Thursday February 19th 2015, in the Center’s meeting room, Amman, Jordan. The memorandum of understanding is entitled "The Investigation of Strategic Economic Scenarios for Jordan 2030".

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the UN Information Centre in Beirut (UNIC-Beirut) and the Communications and Information Unit (ECIU) at the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (UN-ESCWA) in collaboration with the UN-ESCWA Centre for Women, are organizing a panel discussion entitled “Together for the Empowerment of Women”, on Monday 9 March 2015 at the Phoenicia Hotel, Beirut (Carthage Room), at 11:30 AM.
