The Social Insurance Organization (SIO) is the Kingdom of Bahrain’s agency for the advancement of social insurance and pension services to all individuals subject to the Civil Law ‘Public Sector’, as well as the Social Insurance Law ‘Private Sector’. It was founded in accordance with Law No. (3) for year 2008. The Organization replaces both the Pension Fund Commission and the General Organization for Social Insurance, and subsumes all rights and responsibilities previously administered by these two agencies.
