This is what establishes the central and unique role of CSS in the development and regional integration mandate of the Organization.

          Beirut, 5 September 2017 (Communication and Information Unit) -- United Nations Under-Secretary-General and ESCWA Executive Secretary Mohamed Ali Alhakim today received Chief Executive Officer of the Centre for Arab Unity Studies (CAUS) Khair El-Din Haseeb and the Centre’s Director General Luna Abu Swaireh at the UN House in Beirut.

          Following the meeting Abu Swaireh said discussions focused on partnership between ESCWA and the Centre in the fields of Economy, Development and Research.

          Both sides discussed the Commission’s activities in Lebanon and the region.

         They also tackled economic and social issues in addition to the National Agenda for the Future of Syria program initiated by ESCWA over three years ago.
