ESCWA, Carmen Lebbos in Partnership for Road Safety |
ESCWA is collaborating with renowned Lebanese actress Carmen Lebbos on the issue of Road Safety through a series of events and awareness campaigns. The partnership kicks off with the participation of Lebbos in the upcoming Launch of the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2010- 2011, to be held under the auspices of caretaker Lebanese Minister of Interior Ziad Baroud on Tuesday 17 May at the UN House in Beirut. |

Call for Proposals on Promoting Renewable Energy |
UN-ESCWA is inviting applications for a call for proposals on Promoting Renewable Energy (RE) Investments in the Context of Climate Change Mitigation and Sustainable Development. All institutions, civil societies and the private sector of member countries are invited to submit their proposals by 1 March 2016, to be included in the ESCWA RE investment projects pipeline. At least 10 projects will be retained as part of a capacity building project the Commission is implementing, which aims at enhancing RE investments in member countries in the context of climate change mitigation. |
