Report on the Electronic Fora as part of the Portal “Towards an Inclusive Participatory Development in the ESCWA region” |
The ESCWA launched a portal called “Towards an inclusive Participatory Development in the ESCWA region”, to promote the participation of civil society and the exchange of ideas and experiences and to trigger interactive discussions. Three electronic fora were part of this portal as they aimed at promoting a dynamic civil society and tackled the following issues: “Participation in Public Policy processes”, “Media and Development” and “Social Integration: towards achieving inclusive participation in Western Asia”. |

The Third Session of the Arab Forum for Scientific Research and Sustainable Development was held from 10 to 12 December 2015, Beirut, Lebanon. The Forum was organized by the Arab League Education, Culture and Science Organization (ALECSO) in collaboration with Hariri Foundation, ESCWA, General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for Arab Countries, Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO, and Maghreb Institute for Research and Strategic Studies.
