11 December 2014	Oman Hosts UNESCWA Regional Workshop on Trade and Environment Capacity Building	Under the auspices of H.E. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Salem Bin Amer Al-Rawas, Omani Minister of Regional Municipalities, Environment and Water Resources, UNESCWA is organizing a “Regional Workshop on Trade and Environment Capacity Building” in cooperation with the League of Arab States (LAS) and the United Nations Environment Program / Regional Office for Western Asia (UNEP/ROWA). The three-day workshop in Muscat, Oman, is scheduled to begin on 25 March 2006 at the Faculty Club Hall in Sultan Qaboos University.

18 November 2013	Impact of ICT on Arab youth: Employment, education and social change	This report analyzes the impact of ICT on Arab Youth by considering the economic, educational and social change dimensions. Chapter I discusses the current status of employment and education among youth in the region. In chapter II initiatives and policies implemented to address youth unemployment in the region are examined. Chapter III focus specifically on the role that ICT could play in curbing regional youth unemployment.

19 January 2017	Call for Nominations for the 2017 United Nations Public Service Awards (UNPSA)	The United Nations has begun accepting nominations for the 2017 UN Public Service Awards (UNPSA). The deadline for receiving nominations for the UNPSA is 28 February 2017. The annual UNPSA was launched in 2003 in order to promote and support excellent innovations in public service delivery worldwide. In 2016, the UNPSA was reviewed and aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the SDGs.
