20 May 2015	Framework for Environmental Economic Accounting in the ESCWA Region	This study provides a review of the System of Integrated Environmental and Economic Accounting (SEEA), developed by the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD) to integrate economic and environmental information into a common framework, measuring both the contribution of the environment to the economy and the impact of the economy on the environment in order to achieve sustainable development.
11 December 2014	ESCWA Hosts Lecture on Public Health in the Arab World	On 5 June 2012, ESCWA hosted a lecture on the book “Public Health in the Arab World.” Invited by ESCWA Staff Council, Mr. Samer Jabbour, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Health Sciences at the American University of Beirut, delivered a lecture on the book, which he edited together with Ms. Rita Giacaman, Professor at the Institute of Community and Public Health at Birzeit University and Mr. Iman Nuwayhid, Dean, Faculty of Health Sciences at the American University of Beirut, and Mr. Marwan Khawaja, ESCWA Chief of Social Statistics Section.
22 February 2019	Committee on Technology for Development, 2nd session	The Committee on Technology for Development was established pursuant to ESCWA resolution 315 (XXVIII) of 18 September 2014, which was adopted by the Economic and Social Council in resolution 2014/35 of 17 November 2014.
6 February 2018	Innovation Policies for SDGs in the Arab Region	The workshop familiarized participants with five aspects of innovation policies as well as conceptual frameworks of STI for SDGs, design and implementation and monitoring and evaluation.

20 May 2015	Survey of Economic and Social Developments in the ESCWA Region, 2007-2008	For more than three decades, the ESCWA region has been exporting capital; experiencing volatile real gross domestic product (GDP) per capita growth; has the highest unemployment rate globally; suffers from rising income inequality; and has a poorly-balanced economic structure that is overwhelmingly based on the export of oil.
20 September 2019	Technical Committee of the ESCWA Technology Centre, 7th Meeting	Since its establishment in 2010, ESCWA Technology Centre has been assisting the member countries to harness science and technology for enhancing their socio-economic development and establishing their national technology development and transfer systems. In support of addressing the challenges of the Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development which was launched in late 2015, ETC developed a responsive work plan targeted towards assisting the member countries in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
11 December 2014	ESCWA Executive Secretary Visits The Sudan	UN Undersecretary-General and Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) Bader AlDafa today discussed cooperation between ESCWA and The Sudan, and the role the Regional Commission could play in ensuring technical assistance in several sectors such as transport, foreign trade, youth, and information and communication technology.
