7 December 2020	Observance of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, 2020	A virtual official ceremony and a webinar held in observance of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People (1 December 2020) As in every year, ESCWA observed the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People to raise awareness about the plight of the Palestinian people and mobilize support to attain their inalienable rights. In this context, on 1 December 2020, two events were held for the 2020 observance:
31 January 2020	Accessing Disruptive Technologies for Improved Water Resources Management under Climate Change
11 December 2014	ESCWA and BGR Discuss Water Cooperation	ESCWA Executive Secretary Bader Omar AlDafa discussed today the issue of water resources in the region with Wilhelm Struckmeier, head of the groundwater department at the German Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR). Technical cooperation between ESCWA and BGR dates back to 1992, and both parties work together with the overall objective to enhance the cross-country collaboration in the ESCWA region in the area of water.
