Sixth Meeting of the Board of Governors of ESCWA Technology Centre |
The Sixth Meeting of the Board of Governors (BOG) of the ESCWA Technology Centre (ETC) will be held on 14 November 2016 in Amman, Jordan. The BOG includes official representatives of 16 Arab countries. The activities of ETC in 2016 will be presented before the BOG, as well as the results and recommendations of the ETC Technical Committee (TC) meeting that was held on 4 October 2016. The members of the TC for this year included 35 researchers, academics, and experts from 12 Arab Countries covering all technology areas related to ETC mandate. |

Tallawy: War Did Not Stop UNESCWA Work in the Service of Lebanon and other Member States |

The Director General of AIDMO Visits UN-ESCWA |
UN-ESCWA Executive Secretary Mervat Tallawy met yesterday with Director General of the Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organization (AIDMO) Mohamed Bin Youssef. The aim of his visit was to discuss the strengthening of cooperation between AIDMO and UN-ESCWA as well as the possibility of signing a new comprehensive and qualitative agreement on the close cooperation between the two organizations that began in the 70s in the area of industrial development and mining. |
