Advanced Workshop on Deploying Institutional Gaps Assessment Methodology in Yemen: Training of Trainers |
The workshop is a training of trainers for senior Yemeni civil servants working in human resources management and planning. The workshop will provide training on the application of the institutional gaps assessment methodology within Yemeni ministries and departments that will be supporting the recovery and reconstruction process. The workshop will also train participants on the transfer of the acquired techniques and gaps assessment methodology on to their national counterparts, where needed. Furthermore, the workshop will analyze the institutional gaps assessment report on the Capacity Development Program, which will be presented to the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation. The report is a stepping stone for the formulation of an institutional gaps assessment strategy. |

ESCWA organized the 13th Session of the Committee on Transport at the UN House, Beirut, during 24-26 April 2012. The session represented a continuation of efforts made by the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) to complete the development of the Integrated Transport System in the Arab Mashreq (ITSAM) and follow up the implementation of its components, with a view to facilitating trade and transport between the countries of the region and achieving regional integration. |
