Reducing Gas Flaring in Arab Countries: A Sustainable Development Necessity |
The flaring of gas associated with crude oil production was considered unavoidable, especially in the Arab region, where nine countries are within the top 30 gas flaring countries worldwide. This paper reviews the gas flaring situation in Arab countries and identifies challenges, opportunities and recommendations on key aspects to address, reduce and eventually eliminate associated gas flaring in Arab countries. |
