7 February 2019	Launching of the baseline mapping study of the energy use situation in the buildings sector in Tunisia	The national seminar will focus on the methodologies for developing the baseline mapping study of the energy use situation in the buildings sector in Tunisia. It is an activity scheduled in the framework of the UN Development Account (UNDA) project on “Up–scaling Energy Efficiency in the residential and services sectors in the Arab Region”. This seminar aims at launching a baseline study for the mapping of the energy use situation in the buildings sector in Tunisia and presenting the methodologies to be used by various stakeholders to the success of the project.

11 December 2014	The UN Greens the Blue	On 5 June (World Environment Day) 2007, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon called on all UN agencies, funds and programs to become climate neutral and 'go green'. Since then, all UN organizations have been working together to put in place systems and procedures to measure and reduce the environmental impacts of the UN family. “I would like to see our renovated Headquarters complex eventually become a globally acclaimed model of efficient use of energy and resources. Beyond New York, the initiative should include the other United Nations headquarters and offices around the globe”.
11 December 2014	ESCWA Participates in First LAU - UN Day	ESCWA participated in a UN Day organized by the UN Information Center (UNIC Beirut) and the Lebanese American University (LAU) at the latter's Beirut campus 27 April in which 17 UN agencies and programs participated. A ceremony launching the event was attended by ambassadors, diplomats, media representatives, UN officials as well as faculty members, students and alumni of LAU.
