12 November 2020	First Regional Review of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration in the Arab Region	The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (UN-ESCWA), the League of Arab States (LAS), and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), in collaboration with the UN agencies members of the Regional Network on Migration in the Arab Region, and with support of the UN Network on Migration will coordinate the first regional review process in the Arab region.

17 February 2016	Beijing +20	The Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action was adopted in 1995 by the Fourth World Conference on Women, and reconfirmed at the Twenty-third Special Session of the General Assembly in 2000. The Beijing Platform for Action constitutes a global framework for realizing gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls.
26 June 2020	Beijing +15	The fifteenth anniversary of the adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action was marked in a commemorative meeting during the fifty-fourth session of the Committee on Women which took place in New York from 1 to 12 March 2010 and brought together government officials and representatives of civil society, the media and the private sector to assess what was achieved since the Beijing Conference in 1995, share experiences and good practices and discuss priority actions to deal with persistent obstacles and new challenges.

29 September 2015	Working Groups	The RCM currently has five WGs and four TFs. The four TFs report directly to the Joint WG on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. 9 June 2016	Statistics Information Portal	Welcome to ESCWA Statistical Information Portal (ESIP). It has been developed by the Statistics Division (SD) as the main electronic dissemination platform for all our statistical output on the Arab region. The portal offers users, a variety of statistical services and products covering a slew of social and economics areas, while facilitating open access to a wealth of statistical data, analysis, and information on our member states.
11 March 2016	Harnessing Remittances for Development	International remittances to developing countries have grown rapidly over the past decade. Remittances[1] received by developing countries accounted for about one third of export earnings, more than twice private capital flows, almost 10 times official capital flows and more than 12 times official transfers in the recent 10 years.
18 September 2015	Regional Coordination Mechanism	The Regional Coordination Mechanism (RCM) was established pursuant to ECOSOC Resolution 1998/46 to hold "regular interagency meetings in each of the five regions (Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America & Caribbean and Western Asia) with a view to improving coordination among the work programmes of the organizations of the United Nations system in each region". The first RCM in the Arab Region was convened by ESCWA in 1999. Since then, meetings have been held annually at the rate of one or two meetings per year.
4 February 2019	Beijing +25: Review of the Beijing Platform for Action	On the occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women and the adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action (BPFA), and based on the Economic and Social Council Resolution adopted in June 2018 (E/RES/2018/8), the five United Nations Regional Commissions have been mandated to undertake a regional review and appraisal of progress made in the implementation of the BPFA since the last review that took place five years ago.
