With the exception of the countries of the Gulf subregion, the agricultural sector and agricultural exports are vital to Arab countries. This study reviews and analyses recent developments in the negotiations on agriculture within the framework of the Doha Round and of the World Trade Organization (WTO) agreement on agriculture and its implementation, including the elimination of trade barriers, market access and reduction of subsidies and tariffs.

This report provides an overview of public policies that can be considered by Arab governments to promote green technologies while reducing the risk for businesses and industry and attracting investments at the same time. The report presents best practices, and providing a pathway for other countries in the Arab region to follow.

This study proposes an innovative research approach to capture multidimensional inequalities that remain to be addressed in SDG-10 targets and the 2030 Agenda in general. As a result of original fieldwork, the study examines the underlying inequalities experienced by three groups in Lebanon – persons with disabilities, educated youth and vulnerable women – and, through the use of radial diagrams, provides a stark visual representation of the gaps that remain to be narrowed between where people are with their lives and where they want to be.
